The APS Microinverter marks a breakthrough in solar technology, making your solar array more powerful, economical, dependable, intelligent and safe.

Conventional systems using one inverter at the end of a “string” of solar modules can only operate as efficiently as the least efficient module. Reduced solar output from a shadow or leaf on one module cuts output across all modules in the array.

The APS Microinverter is smarter.

Our microinverter individually maximizes power generation for each module in your array, boosting efficiency by up to 20 percent. The performance of each module can be individually monitored from your home computer, to ensure top power output always.

Our flagship APS product is the YC500A, a grid-tied microinverter with intelligent networking and monitoring systems. Highly dependable and cost effective, the YC500A handles up to 310W modules with negligible clipping, delivering 250W AC per module with dual MPPT. These units can be connected to the rack or directly to the module’s frame, depending on system design.

One YC500A Microinverter handles two PV modules – a big advantage! Half the inverters and half the installation means real cost savings for residential and commercial solar power systems.

YC500A

Our flagship microinverter converts the DC power from the solar module to the proper AC current for your power grid. The APS YC500A handles two solar modules simultaneously (dual MPPT), and is designed to operate in challenging real-world conditions from -40 F to 149 F.

This microinverter converts the DC power from a single solar module to the proper current for your power grid. Every solar module will need one microinverter unit. APS grid-tied solar PV Microinverters are designed to operate in real world conditions in temperatures ranging from -40F to 149F. Combined with the dual module capacity of the YC500, the YC250 provides the single-unit ability to complete odd-panel array installations.
